The magnificent & Juliet literally roars onto the stage from start to finish, simply one of the best modern musicals we have ever seen! Masterfully put together and with real meaning for the 21st Century.

Matinée Dog visited &Juliet on 4 December 2021, sadly having had Moulin Rouge cancelled because of Covid we needed a pick me up. We were reccomended this show by a good friend and honestly we were not dissapointed at all. Matinée Dog gives this show a phenomenal 98/100! 5* for sure and a must see.
A fun, feminist re-telling of the well known Romeo & Juliet. Hysterically told to a magnificent score of hit pop songs, the way they fit the story is amazing. The choreography is sublime and faultless. The set is also magical and really helps to paint the picture of everything that happens.
The show tells the story as if Juliet did not stab herself first, a twist that really works so well for this show. There were standout performances from all but special mentions of the following are a must:
Miriam-Teak Lee is simply phenomenal leading this hugely talented cast. She captivates the audience from the moment she appears on stage and belts out “One More Time” you are trapped in her mind and her story.
Oliver Tompsett and Cassidy Janson (Playing Shakespeare and his wife) are a duo to die for, the comedy that runs throughout will leave you grinning from ear to ear. A perfect match.
This really is a show for the 21st Century, it even hints at gender and identity and is packed full of female power it makes you think of things you may not have before!
A must see according to Matinée Dog and it really will not dissapoint!
