The term is Victorian theatre slang to “Try it on the Matinée Dog” meant to test a new act or a new reading of a scene during a daytime performance. Plus we also thought it was also pretty catchy and cute with the potential to grow. Read on to find out more about us.

Adam Richards & John Tosh

The founders of this site have been together for almost 12 years and have seen numerous shows together, from musicals to plays, to concerts and more. We are both avid thespians and enjoy to see as many shows as possible every year. We all know that 2020 was the year that the stages went dark and the ghost lights came on. Adam decided to set this site up with the support of John to encourage people to support theatre, and as a hobby alongside our day jobs. Adam has been an usher at Theatre Royal Plymouth for several years and enjoys nothing more than seeing how magic theatre is and how happy it makes people.

This site will showcase every show we have seen over the years with honest reviews, show information, links to book tickets, trailers, latest theatre news, prize draws, competitions and much more.
