Come Alive: The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular has opened at the purpose built Empress Museum at Earls Court in London! What a spectacle this is. We were lucky enough to attend as VIP guests for an afternoon that we will never forget.

If you are looking for an unforgettable afternoon or night out filled with awe-inspiring performances, jaw-dropping acrobatics, and a touch of luxury, then Come Alive is the show to experience. We recently had the privilege of enjoying the full VIP treatment, and it was nothing short of sensational. From the moment we stepped through the doors to the last thunderous applause, it was pure magic. With all the songs from the Greatest Showman you can’t go wrong, though a little warning that the show is not the movie and the story is different. A simply sensational show put together by some incredibly talented people without a doubt!
VIP Welcome: A Touch of Elegance
The VIP experience at Come Alive starts the moment you arrive. We were greeted warmly by the friendly staff, who made us feel like royalty from the get-go. A glass of chilled bubbly in hand and exclusive early access to the venue set the tone for the evening. The pre-show ambiance was electric, with glimpses of the performers mingling and tantalising hints of the spectacle that was to come.
The Cast: Stars That Truly Shine
The cast of Come Alive are nothing short of world-class. Each performer brought their unique flair, blending high-energy choreography with mesmerising stage presence. Standout acts included a hypnotic aerial silk routines that seemed to defy gravity and an electrifying fire-dancing sequence that had the audience on the edge of their seats.
Simon Bailey (Moulin Rouge, Heathers, Phantom and more) plays the Showman with pezazz, you cannot help but fall in love with his talent, a very personal connection is made with the entire audience. Aaliya May makes her professional debut in this show and plays Max a daring individual who is aiming for the stars!
The hosts kept the energy soaring, seamlessly guiding us through an evening that felt part theatre, part musical, part circus, and packed full of heart. Their charisma was matched only by their impressive costumes, which glittered and gleamed under the stage lights.
Circus Performers: Pure AdrenalineThe circus performers were a true highlight of the evening. We were utterly captivated by the daring trapeze artists, whose synchronised routines seemed to flirt with the impossible. The contortionists elicited audible gasps as they bent and twisted in ways that seemed almost inhuman, while the jugglers dazzled with their precision and flair.
These incredible acts weren’t just about physical skill—they told a story with every flip, twist, and tumble. It was art in motion, and it left us in complete awe.
The VIP Edge: Worth Every Penny
For those considering the VIP upgrade to Empress, it is certainly well worth it. Reserved premium seating ensured we had the best view in the house, although I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house and the pre-show meet-and-greet with select cast members was the perfect way to start off the afternoon. Hearing about their journeys and passion for performance added a personal touch that deepened our appreciation of the show. With unlimited champagne, beers, wine, soft drinks, nibbles and hot food served in the interval too it adds an extra special touch with your very own bar! We really did feel like royalty.
